Dear Alejandra,

You are not only one of the founders of Accompany Doula Care Inc., but you have served as the Board of Directors’ President for the past three years. Your guidance has seen Accompany through many dynamic changes that a young nonprofit organization experiences in its initial years. I am most grateful for your active leadership as a prudent steward of our organization.  Your careful deliberation on matters before coming to the Board when the decisions were difficult was felt. When our country faced devastation COVID-19 our Board rallied behind your leadership as Accompany navigated uncharted waters of providing doula care in the aftermath of a pandemic.

Working with you on the Board of Directors inspired and challenged me to seek new ways I could contribute to the success of Accompany Doula Care and the important work we do in direct services and advocacy. As I begin my tenure as Board President, I am relieved that you have decided to remain an active member of the Board of Directors. On behalf of the board and Accompany Doula Care Inc., I want to express my sincere gratitude for your continued service. Board service is one of the toughest volunteer roles, and you took on your Board President duties with dedication, grace, and seriousness.
